THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR COMBUSTIBLE GAS SYSTEM OPERATION FITTER

Patalpinta: 2016-06-07 08:25:45

The combustible gas system operation fitter program is meant to train the employees implementing natural and liquid gas systems exploitation. The purpose of the training program – to prepare employees, able to safety exploit natural and liquid gas systems and their devices and perform dangerous works with gas.

This training program is available for persons no younger than 18 years old, having gained general education.

The program is divided into three parts of training: one general part and two special parts.

The M1 part of ‘General technical and safety requirements’ is designed for the trainees to gain general knowledge about combustible gas, substances used for gas piping, devices and equipment of gas systems, gas systems for buildings, means of measuring, gas piping protection from corrosion, pressure devices, employees’ safety and health, workplace hygiene, fire safety requirements, implementation of dangerous works with gases, accidents, disruptions in gas systems and their locating works, gas system testing, and also the basics of labour law. The program of this training part is compulsory for the trainees, with relation to the special training parts.  Those persons, who have listened to the M1 program and passed the intermediate test, can continue the training, with relation to the special program part, in accordance with the type of gas (natural of liquid) system works exploitation. The theoretical part of training is given 50 academic hours.

In the training institution, during the practical training, the trainees are familiarized with gas piping connections (joints), tightening materials, learn to recognize gas piping devices by their marking signs, get to know the gas systems of buildings, means of measuring and their uses, testing of working pressure devices and order of testing, are familiarized with the order of dangerous gas works implementation.  During the practical training the trainees are taught how to use personal safety measures and initial fire safety measures. The practical training in a training institution is given 12 academic hours.

After the practical training in a training institution is finished, the trainees are given 10 academic hours for manufacturing practice, during which the trainees get an opportunity to deepen their knowledge gained during the theoretical training.

The training for this training part is given 72 academic hours.

When the M1 part of the general training is completed, the knowledge is tested by taking an intermediate knowledge test. The persons, who have listened and understood the M1 training part of the general training and successfully passed the intermediate knowledge test, can continue the training according to any program of the special training parts.

When the general training of M1 is completed, the authorization for independent work is not given.

The M2 part of training regarding “Natural gas systems exploitation” is for those persons, who are getting ready to carry out natural gas exploitation works. The persons in training, based on this part of training, get knowledge about natural gas distribution system, natural gas consumers systems, gas pressure reduction, technical maintenance of gas systems, reconstruction and repair works, pressure testing, geographic information system (GIS). For the theoretical training of this training part 40 academic hours are given.

During the practical training in a training institution, the trainees get to know the gas pressure control devices, their working principles and exploitation, technical maintenance and repair works of gas distribution piping, gas systems of buildings and exploitation, launch, coordination works of gas combustion devices, the order of carrying out dangerous works with gas in natural gas systems. For the practical training in a training institution 11 academic hours are given.

When the practical training in a training institution is completed, the trainees get 24 academic hours of manufacturing practice, during which the trainees can deepen their knowledge gained during the theoretical training.

The M2 training part is given 75 academic hours.

The persons, who have listened and learned the material of the general M1 part of this training program and this special M2 part and passed the final exam, receive an issued certificate of a required form (code 3106) and the attestation certificate with a text: ‘able to work as an exploiting locksmith for natural gas systems and to perform dangerous works with gas’.

The M3 training part - ‘exploitation of liquefied petroleum gas’ – is meant for the persons, who are getting ready to implement exploiting works of liquefied petroleum systems. The training of this part of training program gives knowledge about the extraction of liquefied petroleum gas, areas of applications, gas pipelines, grouped devices, forced liquid phase evaporation, pressure reduction devices, storage of gas cylinders, transportation, operation of gas installations, hazardous works with gas to the persons in training.

In the training institution, during the practical training, the trainees are familiarized with grouped and individual cylinder devices of liquefied petroleum gas, supply of liquefied petroleum gas directed to dwelling houses, technical testing for liquefied petroleum gas devices, repair works, dangerous works with liquefied petroleum gas. The practical training in a training institution is given 9 academic hours.

When the practical training is completed in a training institution, the trainees are given 20 academic hours of manufacturing practice, during which the trainees can deepen their theoretical training knowledge.

The M3 part of training is for knowledge gaining during the given 56 academic hours.

To the persons who have listened to it and learned the general M1 training part of this program and this special M3 training part and passed the final exam, the certificate of a required form is issued (code 3106) together with an attestation certificate, which includes this text: ‘able to work as an exploiting locksmith for natural gas systems and to perform dangerous works with gas’.

To the persons, who have listened to it and learned the whole training program and passed the final exam, a certificate of the required form is issued (code 3106) and the attestation certificate with this text: ‘able to work as an exploiting locksmith for natural gas systems and to perform dangerous works with gas’.
