THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR THE OPERATOR OF OVERHEAD CRANES CONTROLLED FROM THE GROUND – LANDOWNER CRANES

In the industrial companies and organizations various cranes controlled from the ground are used. An overhead crane – is a crane
 with a load handler attached to a cargo trolley running on the bridge. 
The bridge can be moving or stationary. The landowner cranes are operated by the operator from the ground by using a control.
 According to the regulations for using cranes, such cranes must be controlled by a designated trained and certified worker.

The purpose of the program – to train the worker to handle (manage) the landowner cranes safely, according to the technological requirements, use safe maintenance methods, to supervise, test them, ensure safe control of transportation cranes for loads, aiming to save the lives of employees, their health and environment from negative device impact. The cranes are meant to be used for lifting loads.

Falling of loads and people in danger zones, an incorrect exploitation of crane are the most common reasons for accidents.

The potentially hazardous devices supervised by the authorized institutions and registered in the potentially hazardous devices registry (by stating their parameters), the landowner cranes are in the lifting cranes classification category. The right to handle such devices is given to persons no younger than 18 years of age, who are trained according to this training program and have been certified, have had their health checked and can submit a valid written outcome of a medical institution proving the suitability for this work position.

The persons who are in practical training at the practical training workplace, must receive instructions and get training regarding a specific device, according to the user manual of that specific device.
