THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES PIPING MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

purpose of the program – to prepare an employee who would be familiar with hazardous substances piping construction and its working principle, would be able to carry out maintenance of hazardous substances piping, in accordance with the requirements of legislation acts and the user manuals provided by the manufacturers of the devices.

This training program is available for persons no younger than 18 years old, having gained higher education in engineering or related to engineering areas or college level education in technology sciences.

The persons in training are taught about the classification of hazardous substances and the order of marking, the substances used for piping mounting and exploiting of them, the additional devices of hazardous substances piping, the requirements applied when managing dangerous substances piping examination, testing, repair works and works of accident locating and elimination of consequences, the requirements of hazardous substances piping documentation. The persons in training also will gain knowledge related to employees’ health and safety at work, workplace hygiene, fire safety, environmental protection. The theoretical training takes 44 academic hours.

At the training institution during the practical training the persons in training are introduced to the layout of hazardous substances piping,
 its control, means of measuring and protective equipment, ways and types of dangerous substances piping connections, preparation for repair works, mounting and carrying 
out repair works, tightness test, filling and discharging of hazardous pipelines, technical testing works. During the practical training the persons in training learn to use 
personal protection measures and initial fire safety measures. The practical training at a training institution takes 12 planned academic hours.  

Once the practical training is completed at a training institution, the persons in training get 12 academic hours of manufacturing practice, which works well for the purpose of deepening the knowledge gained during the theoretical part.

After the manufacturing practice, the practical task is completed, which gets 24 academic hours.

In order to provide quality of training, the program is given 92 academic hours.

After the training is completed, the attestation is carried out, during which it is checked how well the knowledge is learnt. To the persons, who have learnt the material of the program and completed the practical task as well as passed the final exam, a professional training certificate is issued (code 3106) together with the attestation certificate.
